POWhER PAC Issues First Endorsement Of 2022 Election, Kim David For Okla. Corporation Commissioner

POWhER PAC launches application portal for Republican female candidates

to apply for endorsement, financial support from the organization

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (March 23, 2022) – POWhER PAC, a political action committee supporting Republican women running for elected office in Oklahoma, announced today its financial endorsement of Kim David for Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner. This is the first of many endorsements the PAC intends to consider during the 2022 election cycle.

“POWhER PAC is ready to get involved early for candidates like Kim David who have exemplary records of leadership, conservative principles, and community impact,” said the POWhER PAC board. “Kim David has a robust and proven track record as a small business owner and a marketing professional in the energy industry. She utilized her private sector experience to boldly lead her colleagues to fight for government reforms while serving as the State Senate majority leader, the first woman in statehood to hold this important role.”

David is also the first woman in state history to chair the Senate Appropriations Committee and the first Republican woman to serve as majority whip. She is running to fill the seat of Commissioner Dana Murphy, who will retire due to term limits. More information about Kim David can be read at: www.KimDavid.vote

“We need more Republican women running for office in Oklahoma, and POWhER PAC wants to be a part of showing our peers why now is the time,” said Jennifer Howard, incoming chair of the board. “We have launched a new online portal for candidates and prospective candidates to submit their information for our members to consider for POWhER PAC endorsement and financial support. When women run, women win. We are ready to help Oklahoma’s best female leaders quickly get out of the gate and lead their Republican peers in the 2022 election cycle.”

In conjunction with today’s endorsement, POWhER PAC has launched its online application portal for current and prospective female Republican candidates to apply for financial support and an endorsement from the PAC. After filing closes on April 15, the board will meet to formulate a ballot of candidates to send to the PAC membership for a final vote of endorsement.
